Geoffrey e-mailed to say...

...that he's too fancy-pants to spend a weekend with us in Lusaka so instead he's flying directly home to Hong Kong via Paris because he's an important banker.

Update: Geoffrey e-mailed again to say that he may visit in January after all, but he demanded that we first take down the utterly devastating photo commentary above. Well, as a respected online journalist, I cannot alter my "reports" after they have been published. That would violate the high journalistic ethics that I hold myself and this blog to every day.

But it looks like the negative publicity campaign has paid off, and Geoffrey has gotten down off his high horse and re-thought his snub of me and the Zambian people. As such, for now we will add a tentatively positive update until such time as Geoffrey's actual travel schedule becomes final.

Your move, Geoffrey.
