It may be time for drastic measures

Notwithstanding the calm, cooing child you see here...

Jack has been a bit of a chore the past few days. He doesn't want to sleep, and if he does, he doesn't want to sleep anywhere but on Katherine or my chest. And he wants to eat all the time.
So we've decided it may be time for a pacifier. According to our new favorite pediatrician/author, who we have named Dr. Sweater, introducing a pacifier will not, contrary to popular belief, make Jack uninterested in eating, seeing as no milk comes out of said pacifier.
The only problem we've encountered so far is that Jack doesn't seem to like, or understand, the pacifier.
So tonight we are taking him to Senor Pico to see if a margarita will help to settle him down. It is Walter, Alex and Eva's last night in town. Walter returned from Rangoon today and they're all heading home tomorrow. So a night on the town with two babies in tow is on the schedule.
