Random Bagan people

These kids desperately wanted to dump water on Katherine, but for some reason, resisted. I was cheering them on. The little dude certainly knows how to beat the heat. And there I was wearing clothes like a sucker.

This young girl, apart from being quite pretty, is showing off the unique beauty aide used in Burma called Tanaka. It's made from some sort of soft wood shavings, and applied to the face to protect it from the sun. However, it is also applied as a kind of makeup on women.
