Day two

Day two in Bagan brought a different type of transport. We decided to hire this guy and his horse and basically scanned the horizon and said "take us there." When we arrived at our destination, we'd get out and wander around from temple to temple, pretty much alone most of the time, and when we'd finish up and decide to head back to our driver, we'd find that he had tracked us as we walked, and was waiting in the nearest shade. Very nice.

The land around the temples was pretty parched, it being the dry season and Bagan in the dry part of Burma. Not too dry for the sheep, though. When the rains come, farmers plant corn all over the place. It would be very cool to see the surrounding area full of corn. I like corn.

Happy wanderer

Mmmm...artistic.
