And then I was gone

Tomorrow I head up to Xieng Khuang to do a site visit with some guys from Washington who are here to look into whether mechanical vegetation cutters and/or UXO clearance machines are feasible for the terrain in different parts of Laos.

Xieng Khuang is the province that has the Plain of Jars. We were planning on going there this weekend with Mark and Kristin, but since I'm now returning FROM there on Friday, we're going to Vang Vieng Saturday morning instead.

Mark and Kristin are looking forward to a few days of relaxing on our porch, relaxing in our living room, and relaxing in and around Vientiane. Katherine is looking more pregnant every day.
