A sad incident in Laos

A 25 year old American backpacker has gone missing in Northern Laos. He was last seen in Xieng Kok (underlined) in Namtha Province, on the Mekong River bordering Burma. It's about 60KM from Muang Sing, where Katherine and I spent a day with Bryan Watt for a day in February.

The backpacker disappeared on or about March 13, and hasn't been seen since. The Embassy has been working hard to find out what happened.
