Finally, we took a walk from Bryan's house to a nearby Tai Dam (black Tai) village, where Katherine bought a beautiful weaving from this lady. When I asked if we could take a picture of her, she quickly put on her two jackets with ornate silver clasps so that we would have a picture of a 'real' Tai Dam lady (her words). Note the hairstyle.
