Alan and Diana purchased a beautiful carpet from Magic Carpet, a place in Vientiane run by the Turkmeni guy in the picture and his Lao wife. All handmade carpets, they take about 2-3 months to make, depending on the pattern. Katherine and I are going to commission our very own, and will be able to pick the pattern and colors, and watch the progress. These are the two girls who made the carpet. Unfortunately, it's already wrapped up, so you'll just have to go to Rensselaerville to see it. It's a Turkmeni carpet making process, but they use 100% silk. Very beautiful.
